Colorifix is turning bacteria into sustainable clothing dyes by recreating the DNA of colours found in nature. They express these colours in bacteria, extract the coloured pigment and then send it to dye houses where it can grow to an industrial scale. This saves water, electricity, does not create harmful pollution, and uses no toxic chemicals.
