This is the world’s biggest environmental prize! We travelled to Boston, one of America’s most sustainable cities, to learn more about why this city was chosen to host the 2022 Earthshot prize! Five finalists (one from each category) will be awarded £1 million each to further their work in conservation.

The prize title was inspired by US President John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot, or goal to reach the moon within the decade (1960s), and was created using a similar sentiment, encouraging all people to come together for the sake of global progress.
